The Hitchhiker is ideal for smaller framed compact pistols and is built with the same design principles and philosophy as our Orion holster. Like its bigger brother, the Hitchhiker works both as an IWB and AIWB holster. Regardless of configuration, the Hitchhiker is the logical solution in carrying smaller framed pistols discreetly and smartly.

 

 

Choose your desired belt attachment. Soft loops are standard and can be adjusted to fit most belts. Discreet Carry Concepts HLR Series Mod 4 Universal 1.5" can be selected and installed with the appropriate hardware kit, or our classic 1.75" metal spring clip can be selected.
Add a Dark Wing to use the belt to apply inward force and rotate the grip inward to increase concealment.
If you prefer to adjust your retention with washers and tighten things down more securely over rubber spacers, or are using your holster with a PHLster Enigma, select the FRK. This will not be installed, please see our video for installation.
To include a pad with your holster, select from the list below. If you don't want a pad, but want a small section of loop velcro to add a small amount of padding, we've added that to the list.

The Mini Orion
The comeback of 9mm Luger along with the ever-growing popularity of smaller framed semi automatic pistols as daily carry guns inspired us to release the Hitchhiker. This holster is ideal for pistols like the SIG P365, Glock 43/43X/48, or Smith & Wesson M&P Shield. We conceived the Hitchhiker around the same design and concealment principles that its bigger brother, the Orion holster, is already known for.

Smaller Format Concealment
Like the Orion, the Hitchhiker is also compression vacuum formed from Kydex or Boltaron. The Hitchhiker’s rigidity is designed for professional level low visibility use cases and can withstand the worst-case defensive entanglement scenario too. In order to enhance its concealment abilities and stability, this holster is longer than other comparable holsters. The extra length also allows for a wearer to have a full firing grip on the holstered pistol without any shifting or disturbances. The bottom edges of the Hitchhiker are also rounded to reduce printing.

Designed with Versatility
Out of the box, the Hitchhiker is set up as an Inside-The-Waistband (IWB) holster. Installing a Dark Wing Claw will re-configure it into an Appendix Inside-The-Waistband (AIWB) holster. Different belt attachments like industry standard Biothane pull-the-dot soft loops, the Discreet Carry Concepts HLR 1.5” Mod Universal 4 clips, or the DSG Metal Spring Clip are all Hitchhiker compatible. Like the Orion, the body-facing side of the holster is smoothed out and free from protrusions in order to maximize comfort and adjustability. The smoothed back also makes customization simpler. Pads or wedges can be easily added as needed to improve wearers’ individual concealment capabilities. This holster can also be paired with the PHLster Enigma Concealment System by using the DSG Fixed Retention Kit.

A Holster With Options
This holster can be purchased either cut for a sweat shield or cut for slide mounted red dot sights. Different colors or patterns are also available for the Hitchhiker. Please refer to the drop menu for a full list of choices.
