This muzzle pad is a soft, injection-molded closed-cell foam pad designed to improve comfort and fine-tune how a service-pistol-sized holster interfaces with the body. Often referred to as a holster wedge, this soft muzzle pad improves comfort and concealment through controlled compression, rather than rigid leverage.

It’s a refined, purpose-built version of an age-old DIY modification. Instead of cutting up scrap foam and sticking it on with hope and tape, this pad provides a clean, consistent, repeatable solution that installs securely and performs the same way every time.

The pad installs on the body-side of the holster at the muzzle end, where it manages contact force between the holster and the wearer by manipulating contact area for improved comfort. By adding a compliant interface surface, the pad helps the holster settle into a more stable, natural position. Any change in grip tuck or concealment is a secondary effect of improved contact and force distribution — not forced leverage.

Notes on Use & Wear

Because this pad is made from soft, closed-cell foam, light surface marks or impressions may occur. These are cosmetic only and do not affect performance or longevity. Minor marks can often be reduced with gentle heat from a hair dryer, though most users find the pad naturally “breaks in” after a few wears.

Due to the flexibility of the foam and the relative stiffness of the hook-and-loop backing, slight edge separation of the Velcro may occur over time. This typically stabilizes early and does not continue to peel or affect function in use.

These characteristics are normal for a soft, non-absorbent pad designed for comfort and long-term wear, not defects.

Notes on Installation & Adjustment

The hook-and-loop attachment adheres firmly by design. When repositioning the pad, we recommend using a business card or credit card to gently separate the hook and loop layers. Sliding the card between them helps prevent excessive stress on the hook side during adjustment.
