Orion for G17

This holster is our flagship product, and can be carried as an Inside The Waistband (IWB) holster or Appendix (AIWB) holster. It is also compatible with the PHLster Enigma System. No matter the configuration, the Dark Star Gear Orion Holster is the answer to the discerning shooter’s modern concealment needs.

 

The standard Orion fits all generations of the standard G17 and G31. 

In addition, it is also compatible with:

  • G19
  • G45
  • G44
  • G32

It also fits G22, G23, G35, and G27 models except the Gen 5.

It is compatible with all training ammunition models with factory slides. Inquire for more specific aftermarket slide fits.

  • Add a Dark Wing to help rotate the grip inward for increased concealment.
  • Choose your attachment. Loops are the default.
    Select if you chose the Dark Wing but also want to convert your holster to traditional IWB. This set will replace the Dark Wing screws and post with shorter ones to allow the same retention adjustment without the wing.
    Select if you'd like to add a soft teardrop muzzle pad to your order.

Elegant Yet Robust

The Orion Holster’s shape is based on our take of proven, first-principles concealment design. As each holster is compression or vacuum formed from Kydex or Boltaron, it will not only stand up to the rigors of every day concealed carry but also the worst-case defensive entanglement scenario. Its rigid construction allows handguns to be safely re-holstered from any position at any time.

Designed with Versatility

The Orion works as an Inside-The-Waistband (IWB) holster, but installing a Dark Wing will turn it into an Appendix Inside-The-Waistband (AIWB) holster. A variety of different belt attachments like industry standard Biothane pull-the-dot soft loops, the Discreet Carry Concepts HLR 1.5” Mod Universal 4 clips, or the DSG Metal Spring Clip are all compatible with the Orion, among many others. The body-facing side of the holster is smoothed and free from protrusions to maximize comfort, adjustability, and customization. Pads or wedges can be easily added as needed to improve wearers’ individual concealment capabilities. This holster can also be paired with the PHLster Enigma Concealment System, using the Fixed Retention Kit.

 A Holster With Options

Handgun models from major manufacturers like Glock, SIG, Smith & Wesson, Beretta, Polymer 80, HK, and Walther are compatible with the Orion Holster. This holster can be purchased either cut for a sweat shield or cut for slide mounted red dot sights. Different colors or patterns are also available for this holster.
